STILL LOST: TALES FROM 2080, SAM A. MILLER

An instant self-published online bestseller, STILL LOST is a refreshingly wry look at the world in the year 2080.

A hyper advanced alien race seemingly solves all existential threats—no climate change, no nuclear weapons, no singularity crisis...and yet, in crisis we remain. Because humans are their own existential threat. The world is not really dys- or u-topian, just ‘topian’, and the interconnected lives of its denizens are all the more fascinating for it. We meet a biologist grad student who tries to get her big break from visits with an alien sex worker. We encounter a baboon with human intelligence who live streams his life and is interviewed by an influencer. And we are introduced to a young man who must save his own life from the music that’s taken him hostage.

Often funny and always profound, STILL LOST bends reality just enough for it to become a mirror and takes its readers on a daring and strange ride--an ultra-timely, sardonic inter-connected work that feasts on the follies and earnest absurdities of humanity. The book marks the arrival of a major new voice in science fiction, and will be loved by readers of Andy Weir, Douglas Adams, Matt Dinniman, and William Gibson.
